This last weekend was Father's Day; a day we as a nation have chosen to set aside to honor our fathers. Most people will say that they have a great dad (that is unless you are a teen & in trouble at the moment! lol) However, I believe you will agree after I introduce you to my dad that I truly do have a pretty spectacular father.

I don't want anyone to get the idea that I think women should be in leadership in the church because that goes totally against what God teach...

As I was reading through the book of Joshua this morning, I came to the account of Rahab the harlot. Remember her? This is the lady who was courageous enough to hide two spies on the top of her home and provide subterfuge for them. Then asked to be spared from whatever the Israelites were going to do to her city because she had already heard of their Lord's power.

In just a few days it’ll be time once again to start cleaning my classroom, taking downbulletin boards, storing teaching supplies for the summer. Every year it seems as if the school year goes by faster and faster. As I look at my students, I remember so well the first week when they looked more like children and now they look more like young teenagers and are ge...

Our pastor had recently went to S Africa and held tent meetings in Swalala about 30 mins drive outside of White River. So now the missionary family is holding church services every Sunday afternoon out in the village area. God blessed the missionaries with a vehicle (A Venture) that can seat 11 passengers when they f...

The online world is one that is growing quickly and authors need to be creating their "name" online. Unfortunately, many authors feel that it's unsafe to be using it, or many don't know how to use Twitter & Facebook to help market their book.
My book was just released on September 29th, 2009, but I started building my online presence back in March. In this blog, I'm going to walk you through what I did to build my online ...

As a teacher this is an area that I wish I could have parents come to class for me to teach them. Over the 19 years I've been teaching, I've been amazed and saddened during parent meetings when I hear how parents work on studying and homework with their child and think they are doing it well.
This blog is going to address studying with a review sheet and/or notes for a test and/or quiz.

Exodus 2:3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.
My blog today is a continuation of my devotional thoughts on women in the Bible. Today I'm writing about Jochabed, Moses' mother. In Exodu...
